Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre provides a broad range of basic and specialized services along the continuum of primary health care. These include diabetes care, stroke prevention, medical withdrawal management, mental health counselling and addiction services, and acute and out patient programs.

We embrace a wholistic approach to healthcare. Patients and families have the option of integrating traditional and modern medicines and practices. We recognize and respect the cultural and linguistic significance of the people whose health care is entrusted to us.

Our highly accredited 60-bed health centre serves residents of Sioux Lookout and the surrounding area, the Nishnawbe-Aski northern communities, the Treaty #3 community of Lac Seul First Nation, as well as Hudson, Pickle Lake, Savant Lake. Annually, our outpatients number approximately 30,000.

Under one administration, Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre  operates an additional site–William A. “Bill” George Extended Care Facility–a 20-bed long term care facility, as well as a day program for the homeless of Sioux Lookout.
