The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) is a state-of-the-art care facility providing a broad range of basic and specialized services along the continuum of primary health care. These include diabetes care, stroke prevention, medical withdrawal management, and mental health, counselling and addiction services, along with acute and out patient programs.

At SLMHC, we focus on integrating traditional and modern medicines and practices, recognizing and respecting the cultural and linguistic diversity of the people whose health care is entrusted to us.

Our fully accredited 60-bed health centre serves residents of Sioux Lookout and the surrounding area, the Nishnawbe-Aski northern communities, the Treaty #3 community of Lac Seul First Nation, as well as Hudson, Pickle Lake, Savant Lake. Annually, our outpatients number approximately 30,000.

Under one administration, SLMHC operates an additional site – William A. “Bill” George Extended Care Facility, a 20-bed long term care facility, as well as a day program for the homeless of Sioux Lookout.
