Appointment of Interim CEO for Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre
Frank Beardy and Kai Koivukoski, CoChairs of the Board of Directors of the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre, are pleased to announce that Mr. Douglas Semple has been chosen as the interim CEO effective November 9, 2009. Mr. Semple replaces Mr. Roger Walker, who will assume new responsibilities as the CEO of the Timmins and District Hospital later in November.
In addition to graduate level education at Queen’s University and the University of Liverpool, Douglas has several years of hospital administration experience as a key part of the SLMHC management team.
"His positive style will complement the teamwork, partnership and patient care philosophy of our organization", said Koivukoski. "This will also be an asset in the upcoming transition of CEO leadership."

The search for a permanent replacement for Roger Walker continues with support from People First HR, a Winnipegbased executive search firm.
